Shadows are a fantastic way to add interest, dimension, and life to your letters, and are one of my favorite decorative elements to use. Getting to know different types of shadows and how they work is a great skill to have in your mental toolkit!

But if you’re going to be pursuing illustration more professionally, want to learn animation, or learn relevant skills, it’s a good idea to look into methods for digitizing your art. Having digital artwork opens up new possibilities for creativity and for additional revenue streams, such as opening an online shop or licensing your designs.

While tools do not the craftsman make, I do have some favorite items that I use consistently for personal work and client projects.
